" I joined ForWEB with a keen interest in understanding West African monsoon features and other climate drivers. Prior to joining, my expectations revolved around gaining insight into weather forecasting and nowcasting techniques. ForWEB significantly exceeded my expectations by providing a robust platform where I could apply my programming skills to better comprehend climate processes. The program equipped me with the knowledge and tools necessary to forecast and nowcast weather effectively. It did not only deepened my understanding of West African monsoons but also allowed me to utilize my programming skills in a meaningful context. Through ForWEB, I gained proficiency in forecasting and nowcasting weather, leveraging my programming expertise to analyze and understand climate drivers, particularly the West African Monsoon system. " When I joined ForWEB as an ambassador, I had two primary expectations. First, I hoped to gain valuable practical experience in producing weather forecasts through analyzing scientific data. Second, I wanted to improve my ability to communicate complex climate concepts clearly to the general public. ForWEB fully met these expectations and provided an enriching learning experience. Additionally, because our target audience included the KNUST community, I learned how to explain intricate climatic phenomena in simple, coherent terms that anyone could grasp. The need to make our daily forecasts comprehensible enhanced my communication abilities tremendously. In short, ForWEB matched my goal of growth in practical forecasting knowledge and climate communication proficiency. The program gave me the exact practical experience and communication skills development I had hoped for. "
